Worked as a Marketing Representative for a local Non for Profit Agency working with youth in the urban core.  

Worked as a contracted site for Head Start from 1995 to 2012

Owner - Williams Child Care and Preschool, August 1981 – Present (32 years)

Job Duties
Responsible for setting the tone for the facility, managing the curriculum, overseeing physical facilities, hiring staff and managing the overall image . Ensure compliance with all local and federal laws governing child care, both in regard to the physical environment and the staff, and manage the financial affairs of the child care .
Curriculum Development
Work with qualified center staff to develop an appropriate curriculum and ensure that it complies with state and federal requirements..
Facilities Management
Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws for safe and appropriate environment for children. Have working knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding safety requirements and inspection and certification procedures, and ensure that the facility complies with those requirements. T Evaluates and purchases necessary equipment and supplies, or approves requests to purchase materials and equipment.
Staffing Management
Manages this staff, develops job descriptions, interviews candidates, maintain staff development and education and, if necessary, manages disciplinary processes. Ensures that all staff meets the requirements for their jobs; for example, verifying background checks and confirms that necessary licenses are valid

Parental Communication and Involvement
Serves as the 'face' of the facility managing communication with parents and the community. Develops policies and procedure manuals encompassing every numerous facets for facility operation and communication the policies. Meets with parents of prospective students to determine whether the school is a good fit for the family.
Financial Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial management of the facility. Develops budget, manages the accounting and oversees accounts payable and receivable. Develops and implements marketing plans. Developing public relations and advertising campaigns as necessary.
